It's just off the Prado, and you don't hear outside noise. The couple are amazingly sweet, and they were patient while we tried to practice Spanish, which is all they speak. Bedrooms have air conditioning and en suite bathrooms. They also offer meals and laundry service, and each room has a fridge with drinks for sale.
Vivian and Almeida were such a wonderful part of our time in Cuba. The house is a pretty, typical Cienfuegos home, and staying there felt like being with grandparents. The welcome went beyond what we expected. Our room had a private bathroom, air conditioning, and a refrigerator, and the breakfasts were very good. They also offer laundry service, and we arranged a meal with them before our early afternoon bus. Almeida has a beautiful vintage car and can show you around on a short excursion, or take you to or pick you up from the bus station. The casa particulare is ideally placed near the Prado, with everything in the center of pretty Cienfuegos within walking distance. Vivian puts real effort into helping guests discover what the region has to offer, like a tourist office agent. They speak only Spanish, but are very patient if you don't speak it well. In the evenings they enjoy chatting about all kinds of things and are very open and interesting people. Everything about them is worth seeing. Thank you, Vivian and Almeida ;-)
