The property is spotless and catches your eye with its bright colors. The surrounding area doesn't have much to offer, and Cienfuegos is about 10 km away. The beach near Rache Luna could do with a cleanup. At least it isn't crowded, and police keep watch there, apart from the parking areas. Apparently, people will even smash a car window to steal a towel.

Casa Mayor is a lovely place to stay in a central spot in Punta Gorda. The host and the person handling breakfast were both very nice, and the rooms were clean and pleasant. Highly recommended.
