We weren't hungry, though the food wasn't luxurious. It felt like diet meals, with mussels, small shrimp, the same white fish, and crab sticks for seafood. Nothing disappointed us. The rum cocktails really stayed with us. If you like strong drinks, I'd suggest getting Legendario rum in Havana. It's smooth and pleasant. I never knew rum could taste that good. That long search for a hotel wasn't wasted, because we really liked this one. Cuba was a dream come true, and I'd definitely do it again, most likely at the same hotel. Our room faced the ocean, everything worked and was fully equipped, and the linens and towels were clean. Maybe we were lucky, since I don't think that's standard. There were enough sun loungers too.

18-25 Jan 2026 The bar had a great selection, the internet worked, and we never lost electricity or hot water. The room outlet was 220v, though, and it burned out my Canadian charger. The hotel was well maintained and fairly fresh, with nice guests around. We had a wonderful holiday with our little one. The beach and location were amazing, with town within walking distance. Service was great, and we never lacked anything or went to bed hungry. It's great for families, though maybe not if you want to party hard with loud dance music. We'd definitely recommend it. The price was really cheap for what we got.

It's our last night at sol caribe, and we've had an amazing time. The pools were always clean and the beach was beautiful. Food was good, and the staff were amazing. Everyone truly cared about the guest experience. Glenda and Rosio deserve a special shout out. They greeted us every day with huge smiles, made sure we were fed well, and were so good with the kids, who loved them. They made us feel like family. We really hope to come back soon!

The beach was easily the highlight of my trip. It was stunning, clean, with clear water, and well maintained. The kitchen staff and bartenders were also genuinely kind and friendly, and always made the stay better. I chose this hotel because the reviews were generally positive, but as someone who travels often and is picky about where I stay, it didn't meet my expectations. It seemed geared more toward older guests and families with children, which is fine, just not what I wanted. Entertainment was minimal and underwhelming, and the resort was quiet by 11PM. If entertainment is what you're after, this may not be the place. Food options were quite limited. I know shortages are common in Cuba, but this felt more restricted than other places I've stayed. The 24-hour snack bar was one bright spot, with basics like grilled cheese, hot dogs, and fries. Cleanliness matters a lot to me, and housekeeping didn't seem to clean properly. I left tips and small gifts, but nothing improved. There were lots of ants in our room, even on the beds, though we had no food there. I slept badly and woke with several bites each morning that definitely weren't mosquito bites. When I asked to move rooms, I got mixed answers: one staff member said it couldn't be done, another said I'd have to pay extra. The bathrooms were okay, but for some reason my water was shut off around 1AM. I also saw other workers entering rooms with the maid during cleaning, which felt unusual and concerning. The hotel might suit someone wanting a quiet, laid-back stay, but it wasn't right for me.

Perfect beach (picture 1) Glenda Y Rosio gave excellent service, always smiling and welcoming. A few days after my trip, I still can't think about the hotel without remembering Jessica at the buffet. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always smiling. She sang "Happy Birthday" to someone in our group, and also sang "My Heart Will Go On." Her voice was so beautiful and impressive it brought tears to my eyes. The buffet went quiet while she sang. Say hello and eat in her section, you'll leave smiling for sure. (picture 2)
