Hostal Malaga Habana

Yanina made getting around Cuba easy by arranging all our shared taxis, and she was easy to reach whenever we had a question or problem. She also gave us useful local tips for Havana and organized airport pickup and drop-off. My friend and I stayed at Hostal Malaga Habana at both ends of our trip and had a really enjoyable time. The place was clean and comfortable, and all the staff were friendly.

Yanina and Tito were so welcoming and helped us plan our day trips in Havana. They even kept helping us by chat while we traveled around Cuba. We were glad to come back for our final night. The room was the cleanest we saw in Cuba, even compared with a 5-star hotel, and breakfast on the beautiful terrace was tasty. Airport pickup and drop-off were available too.

Breakfast on the rooftop was delicious, with coffee, juice, fruit, bread, omelette, honey, and ham. They even made it early for us before an excursion. The room and casa were comfortable and clean, and Yanina, Tito, and the two other people I met gave us a lovely welcome. Yanina answered my many questions quickly from the time I booked, arranged an airport taxi for my mother, and sorted transport from La Habana to Varadero. Thanks again for patiently helping me improve my Spanish! My mother and I stayed four nights.

The rooms were roomy and very clean, and the hostel had good-quality wifi, which isn't common in Cuba. Ask Yanina for the password. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace, with views over the neighborhood, including the Tobacco Museum and Masonic Museum. Yanina and Tito are friendly, relaxed hosts, and she can suggest places to visit or eat in Habana. Staff can arrange transfers to and from the airport at any hour, as well as laundry and other needs. I stayed six nights in early February 2019, five after arriving in Habana and one before flying home. It's the best place to stay there.
