The location is amazing, and the place has a charming, classic feel. Staff were polite and helpful. My room was spacious and opened straight onto a balcony with a stunning bay view, though it was dusty and not clean. Breakfast was fine, with limited choice but some lovely local fruit. I had a good stay for a couple of days, and it seems like a nice option for a short visit. One thing gave me pause: while exploring Old Town, several scammers approached me and knew where I was from and which hotel I was staying at. I wondered if someone with access to guest information might be sharing it, but that's only my suspicion. They often try to sell cheaper local cigars, which is a scam, so be careful. I don't include this suspicion in my overall assessment.

The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and there’s a lovely rooftop terrace. The building is beautiful and has a sea view, with the old part of Havana just a few minutes away on foot. Staff were friendly and quick to sort out a few room problems.

The architecture has lots of lovely details, and the staff were great. Our group arrived late in the evening, but they still managed to make us a meal before bed. There’s a small shop and bar by the lobby, plus a nice veranda upstairs. It’s handy for the ferry and other sights. Depending on the wind, fumes from the refinery can be a problem.

We had a really bad experience here. After checking out at noon, we paid to leave our bags in storage until our 6 pm airport taxi. When we returned around 5, my powerbank and earplugs were gone. I told reception right away. They initially said it couldn't have happened, but after I complained several times, they checked the luggage room and found my powerbank. They said it must have fallen out of my bag, which seems impossible. The earplugs were still missing, and our taxi had arrived, so we had to leave. I wouldn't recommend this place. Sadly, I don't feel I can trust the staff :/

Just to be clear, this is about the Terreza Mirador restaurant on the terrace, not the hotel. The view is really nice, but the meal was a letdown. My travel partner and I ordered sandwiches and cafe con leche. Each sandwich had only one of the three ingredients listed on the menu, and when we asked the waiter, he said we'd received what we ordered. The coffee tasted like Nescafe and may have been the worst we had in Cuba. Eating here could leave you disappointed.
