Iberostar Selection La Habana

I haven’t stayed at the hotel yet, but we were interested in it and the PR manager kindly showed us the whole place. It looks stunning, including the spa and sauna area and the pools. Everything seemed very new and well maintained. If you’re planning to stay, I’d book one of the pricier levels, from level 32 upward, for access to the VIP pool and better restaurant. The SkyBar on the 41 floor is worth visiting for the view, and the coffee there is great. Both pool areas are lovely and have great views too. The hotel feels brand new and is definitely more than 5 stars. We’ve visited Cuba several times and Havana once before, but here you might not even realize you’re in Cuba. I can’t think of anything negative, and I was surprised to find this kind of hotel here. We ate at local restaurants every night and felt very safe. Bring American $ because Canadian $ is worth half and no one wants to accept them. Credit cards work at the hotel, but can be unreliable elsewhere. The hotel itself is cashless. We’ll definitely be back and stay here again.

The rooms are very comfortable, the food is great, and the views are amazing. It’s conveniently close to the Malecon and other city attractions, and the staff are helpful and nice. Probably one of the best hotels around right now, and I’d definitely recommend it for a pleasant city stay. I suspect the low rating reflects a sabotage campaign more than people’s actual experience.

The rooms are spacious and modern, and the views and bar on the 32 floor are amazing. We especially enjoyed the lovely pools, the excellent massage, and the high standard spa. Service was great, and everything was just perfect, though our stay ended too soon. Highly recommended 👌
