That roof terrace is the highlight, with amazing views of the capitol building. It's especially good in the evening with a Mojito while the band plays. The lobby is beautiful, and the restaurant was great, with a brilliant breakfast selection each morning and helpful, friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and nice, if a little dated. A comfortable hotel in old Havana. I'd definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay and want to come back. The hotel is beautiful, with plenty to do, good music, food, and drinks, and it's very close to museums. Special attention at the Porticos bar and from Dalila at Alameda bar made it even better.

I stayed a few nights and would recommend the hotel, with one caution about drinking water. Tap water isn't safe for drinking or brushing your teeth, so water matters. There was one bottle in my room on arrival, as expected, but once I finished it I had to buy more. The hotel restaurant sells bottles, so it's easy to get them, but I don't think hotel guests should be charged for water. At least provide a fresh bottle each day and charge for any extra ones, instead of giving just one free bottle for the whole stay. I don't know how other hotels handle this, but I find it unacceptable. The location, room, staff, cleaning, and WiFi were all great. The signal was strongest in the room and practically nonexistent elsewhere.

The pool, the lovely view, and the hotel's location made a good impression, and breakfast was good too. We also enjoyed the live music each day. At dinner, both the steak and burger tasted great, though they were pricey, and the cocktails were a real highlight. There were some frustrating parts. We had to wait until 4:00 p.m. to check in, which left us waiting several hours for our room. When I asked a staff member for a knife to cut my Cuban cigar, I was charged five dollars for a tiny cut. That felt unnecessary and not very welcoming. Outside, people repeatedly approached us trying to sell things as soon as we left the hotel, which was uncomfortable. Maybe the local authorities could do something about it. Even with those issues, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel, though there's room to improve.
