The food was the best I had in Cuba, and the prices are incredibly low. I also loved the old house, which has a real historical feel but still comes with amenities, even WiFi. The owner is a joy to talk to, full of energy and inspiring in a way that reminds you to enjoy life. They speak basic English and perfect Spanish. I found this gem tucked away in little Remedios, and I'll definitely return when I'm back in Cuba.
The welcome was very warm, and this is one of the few places in Remedios that offers such good value. It’s a large colonial house with five very spacious bedrooms and a functional bathroom. Breakfast was generous, though the fruit could have been presented better. Dinner was excellent.
Lourdes, our hostess, was the best part of the stay. She was attentive and gave us great advice. The house itself is lovely, with big, very clean rooms and good water pressure in the bathroom.
