The terrace is a nice spot to take in a beautiful sunset, and everything is nearby and easy to reach. Maricela and her family were great hosts, and we liked our three-night stay. The water pressure wasn't great, and electricity was out much of the day and night. They did have a generator, though, which they ran from 20h until around 02AM to power the fans and lights.
Maricela and her family live downstairs and are usually around if you need help, which made the place feel safer. We had breakfast served on the lovely balcony of her house. The home itself is beautiful, and it's in the historic centre of Trinidad, with everything within walking distance. The language difference was the only hurdle, but Google Translate helped us get by.
The owner was very friendly, and the two nice rooms have double beds and quiet air conditioning. Breakfast was good, though make sure to ask the day before for what you'd like. The central location is great for staying in Trinidad, with bars and restaurants playing live music on every corner. Getting there by car is difficult, but once you know the way, it's perfect.
We're a French couple and felt at home during our three nights in Trinidad. Maricela and her family were wonderful hosts, and the woman who looks after the place was adorable. The prices are reasonable, and breakfast was very good. Don't hesitate to stay here.
We loved having breakfast on the balcony, and Dariana, who served us in the mornings, was so sweet! Maricela took great care of us. I didn't get a photo of the room, but it was tidy and very clean. My only suggestion is to add hooks for hanging towels in the bathroom, since there weren't any during our stay.
