Melia Las Americas is a calming, peaceful resort, especially suited to adults wanting a quiet break. It's not for people looking to party every night, but if you want rest, beautiful views, and excellent service, it's a great choice. The beach is visible from the lobby, so there's hardly any walk at all. I loved having my morning coffee while looking out at it. The location is one of the highlights. Though the hotel is 30 years old, it is well maintained, with clean, comfortable rooms that are perfectly adequate for a relaxing stay. You can see effort goes into keeping it in good condition. The food exceeded my expectations. There was meat every day and a wide variety of choices. For Cuba, the quality was good, and I honestly had no complaints. The staff were warm, welcoming, and hardworking, always doing their best to look after guests. Their dedication was clear. I recently visited Melia Las Americas, and it was hands down one of my best experiences in Varadero.

We enjoyed it enough to come back two months in a row, and if all goes well we'll return again in April. That says a lot about how special Meliá Las Américas is to us. Thanks to everyone there for memories that'll last. It feels like coming home. From the moment we arrived, the service, beach, and atmosphere were all excellent. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. Every interaction made us feel welcome and appreciated, and their passion for hospitality really showed. The beach was stunning, pristine and calm, perfect for relaxing and recharging, whether lounging or taking in the views.

This was a great stay in one of the area's best hotels. It has lots of returning guests, especially golfers, and a better beach than neighbouring Meliá. The food was good by Cuban standards. Staff were friendly throughout, though there was a noticeable push to upsell paid events that we didn't think were worth it. The hotel handled feedback about that well, and regular guests shared the same feeling. We upgraded to The Level for around $40 per person per night. If the room isn't a big concern for you, it doesn't add a lot beyond slightly better spirits and access to serviced breakfast and lunch, but we thought it was worth it. We were told the international restaurant was the best on site, but it was closed for maintenance during our stay. Architecturally, it's one of the nicest hotels among the larger chains. The standard rooms and main areas could use an update, though. It feels like a five-star hotel from 20 years ago, good quality but dated in places. A great option for a quiet, relaxing stay if you're not after lots of activities or strong evening entertainment.

The staff are what keep bringing me back. They’re genuinely happy to help, and the service is wonderful. I feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed here. My partner has been coming for 15 years, and this was my second visit. I’ve stayed at resorts around the world and in Cuba, but this is one of the few I truly love returning to. The beach, golf, food, and resort are great, and the rooms are clean and meticulously maintained. I hope I can come back every year. Already looking forward to next year.

Everything felt just right, from the rooms and service to the waiters and waitresses. They were warm and always had a big smile, which made me love both the hotel and the island. My one complaint is that, while I was in Cuba, I didn’t get to eat bananas or any other local fruit, even though the island grows so much of it. Greetings to Yanelis and Leticia at reception, who were always cheerful and ready to help!
