We spent four nights with Marco and had such a good stay. The location worked perfectly for hiking, and we were out on the surrounding trails every day. Marco was always helpful, including with advice about the hikes. Breakfast was lovely too. We really recommend it, especially for the affordable price. Thanks, Marco!

Marco was professional, respectful, and full of useful tips for hikes, restaurants, and making the most of Brava. When we had a problem, he did his best to help us sort it out. The family-run place is right at the entrance to Nova Sintra. I stayed in early October 2024, at the end of the rainy season, and was given a free upgrade because a suite was available. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with sturdy beds, practical bathrooms, and strong Wi-Fi. Breakfast was plentiful, with local cheese, jam, cakes, and the best coffee I’ve had in Cape Verde. Highly recommended!

We stayed for 10 days in January 2025 and found the accommodation quite adequate, as well as ideally placed for exploring the fascinating island of Brava. This is a semi-wilderness setting in an African country, so I wouldn’t expect it to be maintained to a particular Teutonic standard. A recent review of the place seemed to me to judge it by unreasonable standards.

The breakfast was really good, and Marco was so helpful. He even made hiking app “tours” for getting to places like the market, a shop, and an ATM. We had a great experience and will definitely come back!

Marco knows a great deal about the island and was lovely to talk with. The suite we stayed in had plenty of space, and the view from one side of the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was filling, with local goat cheese and cake, plus bananas from nearby Fogo. The price was very attractive. Just bear in mind that water and connection are limited on the island. We spoke in Portuguese during our December 2019 stay.
