The staff are all friendly and helpful, and there’s a good selection at the hotel bar. After a long day of work, the accessible pool and leisure area are a pleasant place to unwind. Breakfast is varied and satisfying, and the shower is great. I slept well in the comfortable bed. This was my second work stay, and I have no plans to look elsewhere. The hotel itself is excellent, and the restaurant has a great lunch and dinner menu. I especially enjoyed the vegan wrap. Nothing but praise for Oásis Hotel Boa Vista.

One thing to keep in mind is the noise. The hotel is very central, and there’s a lot happening on the street. We weren’t bothered by it, and actually enjoyed watching the lively scene from the balcony. If you’re sensitive to noise, though, it may not be the right hotel for you. We spent three weeks at Oásis White Hotel and had a wonderful time. The location makes it easy to walk to supermarkets, shops and restaurants, and beautiful Estoril beach is about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel provides beach towels and also has a small rooftop pool for days when you’d rather not go to the beach. Our spacious room had a balcony and a comfortable bed. Breakfast offered a delicious range of hot food, cold cuts and fruit. We also had dinner in the restaurant on Christmas Eve and thought the menu was very good. Everyone was helpful and friendly, without exception, from reception and the restaurant and kitchen teams to the cleaners. Thank you all for an unforgettable stay!

The first two days seemed good: Sal Rei is a good location, and the staff were friendly. Then I came back from a day trip to find my T-shirt in the bidet, even though it hadn’t been in the bathroom when I left. It looked as if someone had used it to clean the floor and left it there. That felt like a serious breach of privacy. Reception gave a vague apology, with no explanation or accountability. That night, around 4 or 5 am, a loud alarm woke the whole hotel. The electricity had failed completely. I’ve experienced a hotel fire before, so this was extremely distressing. Staff gave no information beyond saying the electricity was gone. Worse, the emergency exits and main entrance were inaccessible, leaving guests stuck in the lobby without guidance or reassurance. When I asked for water, I was told I had to pay. I felt unsafe and disrespected, and would never return. I strongly advise others to stay elsewhere. The friendly bar and restaurant staff can’t make up for these serious failures.

You can leave your luggage here, which is useful, but it gets stored in the lobby and there’s no dedicated room for it. The breakfast is good for Boa Vista, though it’s still a typical hotel breakfast. For Boa Vista, the place is good, but I’ve had better stays at three-star hotels. The room had a few issues: noisy air conditioners, rusty lights by the bed, only one pillow per bed and one water glass for two people. You have to ask if you need a hairdryer. The view is of a gas station.

I felt safe travelling solo for eight nights and found it easy to get around. I’d seen some terrible TUI resort reviews mentioning hygiene and food poisoning, so I was glad to have no such problems at Oasis and had a delightful stay in Boa Vista. The resort I’d planned to stay at was fully booked, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Oasis met all my expectations and offered great value. It’s an excellent hotel, only a few minutes from the beach, shops, restaurants and other amenities.
