I stayed in October and was very impressed. It’s right on a secluded beach, great for walks, and the staff are kind and helpful. The place runs on solar energy and is fully eco. There’s now a good Italian restaurant, plus a donkey sanctuary that deserves support. They can arrange airport or port pick-up and drop-off.

The restaurant serves a buffet breakfast each morning and is also open for lunch and dinner. The fresh fish, Italian pasta, and Cape Verdean dishes were delicious. Villa Maris Ecolodge is a peaceful resort right by the beach, recently opened when I visited. The apartments are comfortable and stylish, fully equipped, and each has its own entrance and a large terrace. Electricity comes from renewable sources, including solar and wind turbines.

We really enjoyed our stay. The new bungalows were clean and had comfortable beds. My boyfriend and I especially liked the peaceful surroundings, the little farm, and having the huge beach all to ourselves. Thanks for everything.

From the first minute, the staff made us feel at home and were so welcoming. Helena was a great host and did everything she could to make our stay lovely. She also told us a lot about the eco-friendly features here. It’s a perfect place to get over the stress, reconnect with nature, and recharge.

We loved the animal sanctuary, and a donkey gave birth that day. The place is fully solar powered and eco-friendly, right on an amazing beach. The staff were friendly, arranged airport pickup, and served breakfast. It’s peaceful and relaxing, and you can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Paradise with extras. Excellent.
