Our flight was cancelled, so we thought we’d need to stay an extra night. Jennifer, the manager, was very understanding about it. The room was tidy, with a fan and A/C for the warm days. Wonderful hotel and staff, thank you again!

The staff were wonderful, but the lack of hot water made this stay unacceptable for us. Most rooms apparently don’t have hot water, and the owner lets people book without telling them. The pillows and bedding were poor quality as well. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Nilsa and Melanie were kind and helpful during our two nights at hotel Vila Mira Mar. Communication was very smooth, and they offered to keep our luggage while we were away in Santo Antão. Since we had an early departure, they also arranged a takeaway breakfast. The room had air conditioning, a really comfortable bed, and a very nice bathroom.

It was clean, but felt so sad. Just a room, with no kitchen or even a cup, more like a basic hostel.

The patio breakfasts were amazing, and I already miss having them every day. I spent four nights at Vila Mira Mar on my own, and Nilsa made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. She gave me tips on restaurants, bars, local spots, and things to see, and even packed a nice breakfast for my early ferry. The rest of the staff were lovely, too, and the Vila is well cared for. Can’t wait to return.
