The rooms were dirty, there was no hot shower, and I had money stolen. The hotel did nothing to compensate me for the amount taken. Police came to investigate, but all we got was a police report. There was no accountability from the hotel, and a four-star place should have more security features, including CCTV. This was my worst hotel experience ever. Don’t book here, or you might be the next victim!

The price makes no sense for what you get. Things are damaged, the Wi-Fi doesn't work, and the toilet lid won't open all the way. You can't lock the doors, there's no safe, and there aren't even outlets by the bed. We stayed in much better apartments and hostels for less. Hard to believe this is meant to be a four-star hotel.

My first trip to Mindelo, back in January 2021, was memorable, especially coming from the other side of the world. The hotel is in a perfect spot, with great food and service. The room was good too, though it could be improved.

The problem is the weekend noise. There's an outdoor stage right beside the hotel, and the music goes from 11:30 pm until 5 or 6 the next morning. The windows shake, and it feels like the party is happening in your room, so don't expect to sleep. The hotel itself is nice, but I wouldn't stay here on a weekend.

The food is good, and the catering staff are professional. The location is nice too. The main building feels basic and has little atmosphere, and Wi-Fi is weak in some areas. The hotel staff could also do more to make guests feel welcome and satisfied.
