2/10
The room smelled of cigarettes, and there was no elevator. The floors and walls were dirty, breakfast was very basic, and the reception staff struggled with basic maths. This Cape Verdean-owned three-star hotel feels nothing like a European three-star, more like stepping back into the 90s. It urgently needs renovation.

The rooms really impressed me, they’re quite spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a nice apartment hotel right in the downtown area. Davidson at reception can point you to Elhano, a good guide for an island tour. The downside is that they speak very little English and no French. I’d come back.

The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and some rooms also have an ocean view. Breakfast had a great range of choices, and the staff were capable. It’s right in the city centre and seems suitable for all kinds of guests.

Good value, with a handy location near the port. Breakfast is ready at 7am, and the Wi-Fi was great for working remotely.

The location near the ferry and marina is top notch. The rooms are spacious, and the service is good.
