The staff were friendly, and they kept our bags safe while we spent a few days hiking in Santo Antao. Getting in touch beforehand was difficult, but the stay itself went well. The place feels like a time capsule, with old furniture and worn surfaces.

The rooms were spotless and the location worked well for getting around the city. It was inexpensive, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was the usual continental spread, though they were glad to make us an omelette.

The food was great, and there was live music at this lovely local and international restaurant. The older woman who runs the place has it all under control and makes you feel special. Definitely somewhere to visit while you're here.

The music was beautiful, with mornas and coladeiras, and the food was good. The interior is nice, and service was decent and quick. Seems like a very good restaurant.
