Ouril Hotel Mindelo

The room and bed were very comfortable, and housekeeping cleaned the room well every day. Staff service was generally good, and the location makes it easy to get around. As a basic place to sleep, it does the job. Mornings were a different story. The breakfast space is much too small for the number of guests, so it's packed and you keep bumping into people while getting food. That made breakfast stressful. I was also surprised by the 10€ deposit for a pool towel. The hotel wristband is mandatory and really annoying. It's difficult to remove, uncomfortable to sleep in, and scratches my face if I move my hands near my head. Wearing it around town made me feel like a tagged sheep. 😄 Wi-Fi also needs work. It's strong in the lobby but very weak in the rooms. The access points seem to be only in the lobby, with the thick walls and doors blocking the signal. Management should put access points closer to the guest rooms. Clean and comfortable, with a good location, but breakfast and Wi-Fi need improvement.
