Thanks to Sonia, Amaury, and the whole team for making us feel so welcome at your fabulous hotel. Just the two of us stayed in Preludio, so we had plenty of room. We were there the week before festival, which may have been a little mad, but those were the dates that worked for us. The room was comfortable, everything worked, and the facilities were fine. Don’t expect a five-star hotel, but the balcony view was absolutely outstanding. Breakfast was entirely satisfactory, and someone was on hand to offer advice about things to do. English, French, Portuguese, and CV Creole are all spoken, so there’s no worry about being understood. We were advised to take a taxi back after dark, but always walked up instead. Risk and how risky something feels can be very different, but we felt safer walking through Mindelo than through Plymouth (UK) town centre at night. A great place to stay, fully recommended.

The room was very clean, and breakfast was excellent. We felt at home throughout our wonderful stay. The owner and staff were so warm and welcoming, and took extra care to share useful tips and information about excursions and places to visit. It was the best value for money we’ve had, and we highly recommend it.

The view was lovely, and the owner was so keen to help that it really touched us. We loved the comfortable beds, cute decorations, kind staff, and the richest breakfast we’ve had in Cap Verde. We’d recommend it for families, 10/10.

The beautiful terrace had a great view, and we enjoyed the nice breakfast there. Everyone was friendly and hospitable, and they kindly accommodated a request we had about our room. Mr Amaury, the owner/manager, promptly and helpfully answered a couple of my questions before we arrived. Two friends and I spent 5 nights at the Solar Windelo for the carnival, and it made a great base. It’s close enough to get easily to the town center, but far enough away to escape the noise if you want to. I’ll choose to stay here again when I return to Mindelo. Thank you!

We spent 4 nights here and would definitely come back. It’s very clean, with super friendly staff, a big breakfast, and amazing sunset views over Mindelo. Most rooms are spacious and have ocean views. The main center, with plenty of restaurants, is a 5min walk away. If you don’t fancy walking back uphill, you can get a taxi for 1,5€. It’s an excellent place to watch the fireworks on new year's eve.
