The spot is handy, with the beach close by and all the shops and convenience stores within walking distance. It does seem to be in a poorer part of Praia. For the price, though, it’s a really nice hostel. Just remember it’s a hostel, not a hotel: bathrooms are shared by two or three rooms, depending on the floor. Breakfast is basic but enough, the shower is lukewarm, and the WiFi is decent.

The room was spacious, the bed fairly comfortable, and the fridge and air conditioning were good. Staff were friendly. There’s a bus stop nearby, with rides to the center costing less than 50 escudos. I felt safe at night, and there are small supermarkets and a bank for changing money nearby. Card payment is accepted. A few things could be better: there was no bedside lamp, and only hand soap, no shower gel or shampoo. Dust on top of the wardrobe got onto my clothes. Breakfast starts late, at 8:00, and the selection is limited. On my second morning I came later, and it seemed they hadn’t put out more food, so there was even less to choose from than the day before.

Good value for the stay 👌🏼 The staff were friendly, but there was no housekeeping, so I cleaned the room myself. Breakfast was the same every day.

The beach is not too far away, and there are some good, authentic BBQ restaurants nearby. The bedroom was big, the beds were nice, and breakfast was good. Good value for money.

Super clean hostel, and the staff were lovely, especially Joel. One of my best experiences. Really good place.
