Misturod - Holiday Apartments

Bed bug infestation! I was bitten all over my body while staying here. The owner told Expedia they had no knowledge of it and refused a refund. Avoid at all costs!

The apartment itself was very comfortable. But the taxi they booked for us at the airport never showed up. We arrived at night and nobody was there to meet us, so we felt a bit abandoned and wondered if we’d need to find new accommodation. I’d ask for a more reliable, serious service.

I spent over a year living at Misturod as a digital nomad and absolutely loved it. The apartment felt like both a home and a holiday place, and the colorful building radiates joy from a distance. It’s near lots of nice restaurants, shops and the beach. The WiFi works perfectly, which made it a great place to work. Since others stay long-term too, you find a network of people right away.

I was at Misturod from February 2022 to May 2022, working remotely and enjoying my free time in Santa Maria. The apartment had everything I needed. I had video calls every day and needed strong internet, and Misturod has one of the best connections on the island. I’ve stayed in several places, and this one worked very well without interruptions. The location is ideal, close to both the beach and village centre. Susi, the owner, is reliable and there whenever you need her, and the staff are warm and helpful. Laundry costs little and usually comes back the same day, and the apartments are cleaned regularly. If you need a motorcycle, Susi can arrange one simply and at a good price.
