The worst apartment I’ve ever stayed in. We couldn’t sleep for two nights because of a residents’ party upstairs, and their dog barked early and late every day. There was an open sewer four metres from the front door and a building site five metres away. People were defecating and exposing themselves across from the entrance. Don’t book this apartment, it’ll ruin your holiday.

The owner was really friendly and helpful, and the apartment was simple, affordable, and in a great spot. It has good facilities for making your own meals. The water is only a few metres away, and Santa Maria’s center is a five-minute walk. Highly recommended.

The apartment was neat and clean, with a great kitchen for cooking. It’s just a minute from the busier center, while being far enough away to stay quiet. The friendly owner got in touch on WhatsApp a week ahead to ask if we had any questions, and we were warmly welcomed. There isn’t unlimited hot water in the shower, but that wasn’t a problem for us. We’d definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

Paolo gave us a wonderful welcome and was a super host. The apartment is right by the beach, with all the amenities close by. Sal is a wonderful island, and staying at Sal Service Residence Beach made the trip unforgettable. The best choice I could have made. Highly recommended, take it from a traveler 😊👌🏻
