The only thing I’d ask for is better Wi-Fi. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful place to stay in Sao Filipe. One of the staff, an easygoing guy whose name I unfortunately can’t remember, arranged a volcano hiking tour for us. Thank you!

The price doesn’t feel justified for what you get. The place is just so-so, and there were cockroaches in the rooms.

The hotel is right in the center, with great restaurants like Tropical and Zebra and little market stores within a five-minute walk. You can walk to the beach in about ten minutes. The service was very kind, the rooms and small pool were clean, and the Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast was simple but had everything, and they made us omelettes when we asked. They also washed our clothes. Definitely my hotel recommendation for a stay on Fogo.

The little courtyard pool is a lovely spot to sunbathe all day. The hotel is right in the town center, with the beach nearby, though unfortunately you can’t swim there. There are very good restaurants just a few minutes away, including one next door. Breakfast was simple, typical for the country, and really good. Our room was spacious and had air conditioning. We had a great stay and would come back in a heartbeat!

We stayed at hotel savana for three nights and got a warm welcome, even though we arrived later than planned. The 24-hour reception was handy for questions and island recommendations. Our simple, clean room was great value, and we especially appreciated their help arranging last-minute transport and tours for a fair price. Breakfast was wonderful, and they even packed some for our early Pico do Fogo hike. You can buy bottled drinks and enjoy them on the beautiful balcony overlooking the city, the sea, and Brava island. We could also safely walk from the airport along a nice sidewalk.
