We arrived very late and without warning, since the host thought we couldn't get to the island after a flight cancellation. Even on such short notice, he and his wonderful staff managed to serve us an excellent dinner: stewed sawfish with salad and boiled vegetables. It's probably the best meal I've had in Cabo Verde. Our stay at Tortugas was brief, but long enough to take in the beach's spirit. The ride down to sea level is a bit rough, though there is already another structure being built that will probably compete, so I think the access may be fixed soon. Highly recommended!

The owner is kind and friendly, and genuinely looks after his guests. This place sits among the ocean waves in a nearly deserted area, with an empty beach and nothing but the sound of the waves. I highly recommend it!

At sunset, the sound of the waves made this a beautiful setting. We had been looking for somewhere to eat by the beach and came across this charming place. The owner was incredibly kind, and the meal was simple and hearty.

You fall asleep to the strong sound of the waves, and it’s a lovely place to switch off and reconnect with yourself. Ada sits right on a stunning black sand beach. Getting there takes transport, and the sandy road is really uneven. The food is very good, and the staff are so friendly and keen to make things easy. It’s solar powered, so there isn’t much light, and Wi-Fi comes and goes. Maintenance could be more thorough, but the place has a lot of magic.

Albino made things easy for us during our four days at Albino's B&B, organizing tours, preparing packed lunches, and taking us into town when he could. Breakfast was included, and a little notice was enough to arrange lunch or dinner. The quiet, somewhat secluded setting made it really relaxing. São Filipe is about a 40-minute walk along the beach, and the last 100 meters or so are on foot because vehicles can’t use that final stretch of road. We enjoyed our stay and would happily come back. Highly recommend it!
