Wynwood Boutique Hotel

The room was comfortable once we got an extra cover and two more pillows, but it needed a little more attention to detail. There was only a thin sheet on the bed and two pillows for two adults, so we had to ask. The bedside tables were small floating shelves, too small for my partner’s CPap machine. Because the bed was high, he couldn’t put it on the floor either, so we had to improvise. I also expected toiletries in a boutique hotel, at least shampoo and conditioner, but the shower only had a soap dispenser with the same soap for hands, body, and hair. The location is excellent, a short walk from Punda, the Queen Emma bridge, and other tourist sights. In the evening, some of the best restaurants and bars are just a block or two away. The staff were helpful even before check-in, sending directions and information about parking.

Our host Remco kindly helped us get our luggage up two steep flights of stairs to our third-floor unit. We stayed for two nights in December 2025, at the end of a week in Curacao. The unit was bright, clean, and comfortable, with nice touches like lighted mirrors and a rain shower head. It feels very private, though if you tend to bump your head on sloped attic ceilings, this might not be the unit for you. The staff were consistently professional and welcoming. Wynwood is a well-organized, modern operation that takes the traveler's experience into account, rather than focusing only on making money. We highly recommend it and would gladly return.

In the evenings, restaurants spill right onto the street outside, making for a great vibe. There’s a little noise, but it’s well worth it. The hotel staff were lovely, quick to answer questions, and I had a great conversation with the owner. The clean apartment was serviced every couple of days, which we hadn’t expected, and there were a few thoughtful things waiting when we arrived, including drinks in the fridge and a bottle opener to keep. There’s also a small waterside area to sit or lie down at their sister hotel. Doors, gates, and everything else use a personal QR code, which felt very secure and meant we could go out without keys. We did a bit of research before choosing this great boutique hotel in Willemstad, and the ratings matched our experience.

My room with a sea view was a great choice. The balcony had a lovely view and opened straight onto the beautiful private beach. The room was very clean and had a comfortable bed and a coffee machine with good coffee. I had a great rest here, and the hotel is right in the city center.
