It was extremely basic. I'd have paid a bit more for a nicer room.

The area feels safe, and you've got everything you need nearby. The place itself is gorgeous. Loved it, highly recommend!

Otrobanda is a charming area, with lots of historic buildings, most of them well maintained. The location was excellent for walking around town, with shops, a pharmacy, a Casino, and tourist spots close by. There were also plenty of parking spaces near the suite. The building is very old and the accommodation basic, but it worked for me since I only needed somewhere to sleep and make a simple meal. Communication was very good, and I was welcomed without any trouble. The main issue was the noise on Friday and Saturday nights. There are events nearby with very loud music, and it can be hard to sleep. I was traveling with a child, so we couldn't really go to the evening events and join in, haha. A few simple things also need maintenance. There was no hot water in the shower, which was fine for me but made bathing my child difficult, especially at night. The electricity is prepaid, which seems common in the area. I didn't run into a problem, and the available top-up was enough when we only used power at night. Still, I wasn't used to having to think about whether there'd be enough electricity whenever I switched something on. At $6 a day, we'd certainly have needed to top up more if we'd used it during the day too. The Wi-Fi also didn't work properly.

The location is excellent, but the rest of the place didn't work for me, even though it could have been great. The person who greeted me didn't seem qualified, and the hygiene conditions had changed. They told me to conserve electricity because it was metered, but didn't explain the system, just suggested I not use the air conditioning too much.
