Condo with marina view at Palapa Beach

The condo was quiet, with security at the entrance, a nicely sized pool, and a really great view. The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with good quality furniture and a good balcony. The well equipped kitchen had an oven and stove. There’s no apartment cleaning service, even for an extra fee, and guests can’t arrange it on their own. Adding that option would be a nice improvement.

We stayed nine days and left on NYE. There was often a nice light breeze on the patio, though the weather was humid. Most of the area was quiet, apart from a few weekend evenings when loud music came from the other beach down the street. We often had the beach to ourselves and could choose a palapa, except when snorkelers came twice daily and the occasional sunbather parked outside the security gate and walked around the wooden fence. The beach is very rocky and shelly, with bigger rocks in the water, so good water shoes are a must. A snorkel mask makes it more enjoyable. The pool looked clean, though we didn’t use it. Activities and food are within walking distance.

The open living area and full kitchen flowed out onto the patio, a lovely spot to relax with the sounds of Curacao or catch the ocean breeze. I miss it already. We also enjoyed the onsite beach and pool, and the resort was just what we wanted, close to restaurants and other beaches. The accommodation, service, and amenities were all great. The 24-hour security staff were welcoming and friendly, and the onsite office was helpful. It was easy to reach Armand with questions, and he responded quickly to our needs. Thanks for making our stay special. I’d definitely stay here again.

We were greeted by a friendly host, and the rooms were spacious and tidy. The beach needs a good cleanup and upgrade. It’s mostly rocky and not very kid friendly. A rental car is best since the nearest supermarket is a 15-minute walk away. I stayed from 28 September to 4 October 2022. My only other downside was feeling overcharged for electricity. I used the AC from 8 pm to 6:30 am, except on checkout day when I left it on until 10 am. I used the washing machine once, and was out most nights, usually returning after 10 pm. They also charged $95 for cleaning at checkout.
