Drift Hotels

Drift Hotel Otrobanda has a personal, welcoming feel and thoughtful touches that make it easy to settle in. It’s a comfortable place if you want something a bit homey instead of overly polished. We especially liked breakfast, handmade by the chef, fresh, and full of flavor. The central spot in Otrobanda makes it easy to explore Willemstad while still feeling tucked away from the crowds. A charming, well-located hotel that feels authentic.

We wished we could have stayed longer. The common areas are generous and beautifully decorated, and the room was comfortable too. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice, though during our stay it was a block away despite the website saying it was on site. Langestraat, with its shops and restaurants, is an easy short walk. Drifty is such a sweet, playful cat and feels like part of the hotel's character. The rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully designed, and it's close to everything downtown. Staff were incredibly friendly and quick to answer questions on WhatsApp, keeping in touch throughout our stay. We'd happily come back to Drift Hotel.

The shared rooms and kitchens are a big part of what makes Drift special, especially with only a few guest rooms. There are several of each, plus a little pool to cool off in. We had a spacious, spotless room and the feeling of staying in a mansion as if we lived there, rather than just being hotel guests. Otrabanda feels like the most authentic part of Willemstad, and the walk to the famous 'pontjesbrug' and Punda is short and enjoyable. Drift will be my home away from home whenever I visit Curacao.
