Androulla

We loved the outdoor space, the sea views and the glorious pool. Every room has an ensuite and a private balcony, and there’s plenty of space outside. The kitchen is well stocked by Greek/Cypriot standards, though nothing matches, but who cares? There’s a toaster, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, so it feels like a home from home. The terrace is a great place to watch the views at sunset. You may see the resident bat family swooping overhead. We got some amazing videos. They’re harmless and protected, so just observe them where you are and don’t interfere. You can get relatively close to these amazing creatures ❤️ The location is easy to find. Ignore the previous reviews, there’s no need to come from the north, and Google Maps takes you right there. Just watch out, as there are two ways in, a dirt track or a paved hill, and Google sometimes picks the dirt track depending on its mood. It’s about 10 minutes by car to Argaka old square or the beach, and a little further to tavernas and supermarkets. We’d definitely recommend it and stay again!

The villa is comfortable and spacious, with a lovely pool, but it needs more everyday equipment: enough plates, glasses, cutlery and hangers. There’s little bedroom furniture beyond small bedside tables, so some extra surfaces would help. Instructions for the air con, gas hob, TV and other things would also be useful. Getting there is via the North, not the south as Google Maps suggests. There were lots and lots of dogs barking day and night, though I’ve experienced no worse in Cyprus.

It’s a lovely, quiet, secluded villa with a wonderful pool, and we had a lovely time despite the issues. The mattresses were so hard that we woke up with bruised hip bones until we put 3 duvets underneath us. The pillows were like slippery bullets, so our heads kept sliding off. For a villa that sleeps 8, the kitchen was very poorly stocked, with only 3 large wine glasses and very few cooking bowls or serving dishes. We’d rate it 3/4 rather than 5 star.

The pool is a good size and a great place to relax on a sunny day. The villa has lovely sea views and easy access to local facilities.
