Vassos Nissi Plage Hotel & Spa

This was my third visit, and the first two were good, but this time was horrible. The staff were rude and seemed very suspicious of everyone. Waiters kept harassing us every five minutes to get food or drinks, and staff were disrespectful throughout. I’d booked breakfast and dinner, but when leaving they asked me to pay for drinks with dinner, which I’d already paid for when booking. We had to leave our luggage in a locked room and keep asking someone to let us in so we could get things. My daughter wanted to get ready in the shower room, but the security guard said he had to wait outside while we changed. Ridiculous. The food was disgusting. Although I’d paid for meals, we ate there only twice. I’d eaten some chicken before noticing it was raw and pink inside, and was extremely ill for two days. There was nothing for children except the same chicken nuggets and hard chips every time, so I had to pay to eat outside the hotel. Guests were loud and obnoxious, including the people above and beside us, and we didn’t sleep for seven nights. Our bathroom had only a dirty shower that flooded the floor when you stepped in. It was filthy; we showered just twice. The room was never cleaned, there was mess left all over the floor, and the sheets were never changed. The bed always felt wet. The only thing that made the trip bearable was the lovely weather. We’ll never visit this dump again.

The location is hard to beat, right by one of Europe's best-known beaches. The staff were so friendly and helpful, our room was spotless, and there was plenty of tasty food. We had a great stay and would definitely book here again.

We're only halfway through our stay, but we're having such a good time that I wanted to leave a review now. The hotel is right on Nissi beach, the food has been excellent, and everyone on the staff has been really helpful. Khim was especially lovely.

Sharing a room with my friend was awkward because we were given just one key card. A second costs extra, and they charge again if you lose one. The food selection was very limited, and they watered down the Nutella a lot. The room didn't feel clean at all. The towels smelled bad, like they'd been washed quickly without enough detergent, and there was mold all over the bathroom. I regret not taking photos. The whole place felt unhygienic enough that I worried we could get sick. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, just a dirty and unpleasant experience.
