Kaya Artemis Resort & Casino - All inclusive

We all paid the same rate, but the rooms varied, and ours in block 9 was badly worn. The bathroom had holes in the walls and wasn't clean, the rug and bedspread were threadbare, and there was broken glass on a bedside table. The hairdryer didn't work; it was eventually replaced, leaving a hole in the wall. The floorboards also showed wear. Staff gave no instructions for the safe, and the person sent to show us couldn't communicate with us. We took photos in case they were needed. Only the hairdryer and safe were dealt with after we reported things. The room wasn't made up until we complained, the towels were very thin and nearly falling apart, and the sheets weren't changed. Reception wasn't willing to listen. This room certainly wasn't five-star. We had just returned from a holiday and gathering of more than 150 family members and friends. The resort grounds and location are beautiful, as is the main building, but staff were not friendly or helpful about resolving reported issues. We received no information about resort facilities, and other family members had to tell us restaurant hours and other details. Such a shame. I would say again that this was not a five-star standard room.

We spent so much money for a group of more than 250, and the experience was awful. The staff were unfriendly, nobody seemed to smile, the rooms were outdated, and we felt they were racist. They were happy to take our money, but the service was terrible. At the casino we asked several times what the issue was and got no answer. After we won, they took our money and wouldn't let us see the CCTV. The food was awful too. I would never return or recommend this place to anyone. For a luxury five-star resort, it doesn't even feel like a one-star place. It was the worst place I've ever stayed, and we were there for a week.

Kaya Artemis is dear to me because my husband and I got married there in August 2019. We have a house in Cyprus but still visit the hotel every year, and this time it surpassed what we expected. I booked three rooms for my family, and we were grateful for an upgrade to superior rooms in the main building. The food has always been good, but this year it was even better, with plenty of choice for everyone, even my fussy children. The desserts were unbelievable, especially the crispy, nutty baklava. Cocktails were delicious and made with imported alcohol, and Aybüke, the rollerblading lady, made us a special mango cocktail. The service was fantastic. We think it's the best and most luxurious hotel on the island for all these reasons, and look forward to returning next year. Thank you, Kaya Artemis!

We spent a week at Kaya, and Diyar and Cemre in the restaurant looked after us incredibly well. They went well beyond what was expected of them. They're first-class people, and I wish them every success. The world would be better with more people like those two.
