TasEv Boutique Hotel

Really warm, friendly people. It’s a helpful little boutique hotel in the old town, close to all the attractions.

Great breakfast, and a cozy, rustic building. 10/10.

I was in Nicosia for work meetings, and the location made it easy to get around. But the hotel felt very basic, from the breakfast and services to the room's cleanliness and furniture. It didn't really suit business travel: there was no desk, proper closet, or phone in the room. Maybe it works better for solo travelers or backpackers.

The breakfast in the leafy, beautifully decorated courtyard was delicious, and I loved all the colors and flavors. I also really liked meeting Ozge, the owner and architect who restored the building. I enjoyed the stay enough to book here a second time while I was in Cyprus, and I’ll definitely come back. My arrival was easy, and the staff welcomed me with smiles. Before I got there, Damla had messaged to confirm she’d be there for my late afternoon check-in, and they’d noted my request for lactose-free milk. The room had a gorgeous view of the little Ottoman mosque across the square, a comfortable spacious bed, and air conditioning I could set to the temperature I wanted. The bathroom and shower were separated from the sleeping area in a nice-looking way. There wasn’t a hair dryer in the room, but one arrived within minutes when I asked. I was given a door code for returning after dinner, and the entrance was well lit.
