We expected a quiet break, but having the whole village to ourselves was a surprise 😄 Vasilis's mountain house had what we needed for a few days of walking in the Troodos: a well-equipped kitchen, hot shower, comfortable bed, and a magnificent terrace view. On one walk, we were caught out by unexpectedly fierce thunderstorms, heavy rain, and hail. After five hours we made it back to Karvounas Cottages, where hot showers, drinks, and somewhere to dry our soaked clothes soon made us warm and cozy again. We could happily have stayed in to recover, but we were hungry, so we drove 15 minutes to the nearest restaurant in Kyperounta. For the price and location, Vasilis's place is hard to beat, as long as you don't mind having no neighbours 😄
