Aphrodite Plaza

On the 6th floor, this gorgeous apartment has balconies and views to die for. I’ll book again.

The views were great, and the apartment was spacious, but our two-week stay in the 3bedroom, 4 bathroom place wasn’t relaxing. At first it looked beautiful, with large bedrooms, good air conditioning, a big laundry area and a wrap-around balcony overlooking the beach and Finikouthes promenade. The main ensuite basin blocked every day. The owner sent the cleaner with a plunger, and it was fixed a day later, but the problem kept coming back. I got tired of contacting the owner because replies were very delayed, if they came at all. There was also a sewage smell in the level 1 hallway that came through the vents into our bedrooms. The pots and pans were old and scratched, so we couldn’t use the nice kitchen without buying our own. We did that after the owner declined to replace them. Spare pillows in the wardrobe had no cases, so we had to ask for some. The toilet seat in the single bedroom had a large crack and seemed glued together, then broke off completely on our last day. I didn’t feel safe in the building. There was a reception desk but no receptionist, and the entrance doors were always wide open, with no buzzer or secure entry. I raised my concerns with the owner until I gave up. Although I booked through a ‘Hotel’ booking website, it felt more like an air bnb setup than a hotel, as their laminated ‘welcome card’ in the room says. I wouldn’t recommend staying more than 2-3 nights.

A spacious, clean and nice apartment with an amazing view in the best location. The host was friendly and supportive. I recommend it to everyone!

We were five, and having so many bathrooms really helped us get ready without wasting time. The apartment was clean, the view was nice, and the host was helpful. 😄
