The hotel itself is modern, nicely designed, and in a good location. Our room was clean and comfortable, and I was satisfied with the accommodation. The weather was a real plus, around 25°C even in November. The bigger disappointment was Cyprus in November. Nearly everything was closed. Along the main road served by the bus, almost all the shops and restaurants were shut, with only a pharmacy and small grocery store at best. Near the hotel just one or two cafés were open, and even those meant a long walk. The area felt very deserted, which affected the whole experience. The beach was beautiful and tidy, but almost empty. The pool looked attractive and was clean and well maintained, but it was extremely cold and not really swimmable. Food service was also weak. Breakfast was the same every day and had very little choice, while dinner came as a set menu. There was a good, flexible cocktail selection, but the hotel seemed to be running with fewer staff because occupancy was low. During dinner, an elderly male waiter was especially unpleasant. He didn’t seem to speak English well, but kept insisting on talking. He didn’t understand guests, was intrusive, and repeated his own monologue. Several guests complained. Later a professional, polite female staff member replaced him and understood everything straight away. Service noticeably improved after that. To find any real activity, we had to take the bus into the city. We also booked a boat trip advertised to leave at noon, but the boat arrived almost half an hour late. We thought it might be canceled. It added to the impression that organization was very relaxed and somewhat unstructured. The hotel can suit someone looking for peace, nice surroundings, and warm weather, but Cyprus is extremely quiet in November, and the food service and organization don’t quite match what the hotel’s promotion led us to expect.

The quiet rooms, great beds, and views made us especially happy, and every room was spotless. The hotel is modern and easy to reach from central Larnaca and the motorway. What brought us back after January was the staff, from reception to the restaurant team, everyone was warm and made sure guests were cared for. Thanks to the manager for running such a good hotel, and to the whole team, five stars from us.

The weak internet was the one real drawback. It was hard to stream or even read online. Otherwise, there’s a good choice at the included buffet breakfast, with hot and cold food, and the evening buffet costs 15€ and has five mains, four meat dishes and one fish, plus salads and desserts. A half liter of local beer was 5€. You can eat breakfast outside in the sun, about 100 meters from the beach with an open view. Rooms have balconies, either facing the sea or the street. The street side is shaded, not too busy, and a bit cheaper. I tried the sea view too, and it’s nice, but it gets hot if you like leaving the balcony door open. Closing the curtains makes the room pitch black, which is handy if you need to sleep during the day.

We spent one night here in October before flying home after two weeks in Ayia Napa. The gym is very well equipped, and breakfast had a limited selection, though everything was cooked just right. The room was lovely and well supplied, even with body lotion and conditioner, which we hadn’t found at our other hotels. The staff were pleasant, smiling, and genuinely helpful, and the hotel was clean. The sea outside didn’t look very appealing, so nobody was swimming there, but the water was surprisingly 1 to 2°C warmer than around Ayia Napa, including Nissi Beach and Landa Beach. My main complaints were that all TV services cost extra, even YouTube, and that food isn’t allowed in the hotel or rooms.

I won’t be coming back. The hotel felt neglected for the price: the entrance wall was smashed, and a lot of doors were swollen and damaged from water and humidity. My room was in poor shape too, with yellow looking towels that didn’t seem clean and dirt and bacteria in the bathroom corners. When I asked reception for a toothbrush, they told me to go buy one because they don’t provide them. Breakfast was below average, and the coffee was really bad. I was also put right beside a busy street. Trucks started going past early in the morning and woke me up after I’d already had trouble sleeping, the noise was unbearable. One of the worst hotel stays I’ve had.
