Livadhiotis City Hotel

For a short visit or a layover while exploring town, this is an okay option for the price. The location is excellent, right in central Larnaca near the beach, restaurants, and main sights. Friendly, helpful service and a good breakfast with a decent range. Our room was standard, nothing fancy, but had what we needed, and the small balcony was a nice extra. The bathroom could be a little better.

I’ve lived in Cyprus for 15 years and sometimes used the hotel to sit quietly. Recently the bar lady told me I wasn’t welcome to do that anymore. Even when I came out of the toilet, she was watching me from downstairs. The senior male receptionist was rather rude as well. I’m shocked that simply sitting in a chair has become an issue. They’ll be glad to know I won’t use the hotel anymore, and I won’t recommend it to the many friends who visit the island for holidays. It feels like a minority is spoiling things for everyone. Goodness, it was just a chair, what is the world coming to?

What a gem in the heart of Larnaka. Breakfast is included, and restaurants, cafés, and bars are just steps away, along with Finikoudes Beach, water sports, the Medieval Caste, Pier, Ayia Lazaros Church, and Marina. It’s worth seeing by day and night, such a different world. Great price, service, people, and location. They arranged a wake up call on time and a taxi limousine was waiting early in the morning for our airport departure. Thanks for the hospitality, Cyprus. The only thing I’d change is adding charging stations in the rooms for electronics like iPads, laptops, and cellphones. I’ll absolutely recommend this hotel. Fantastic job, and I’ll be back soon!

Helpful staff were there at all hours, and the included breakfast was quite good. The rooms are a little run down, though, and most things were just serviceable. I’d stay again at the discounted price. We also stayed at another local place where we happened to get an even better rate, and it was much nicer.
