Lima Sol House - Hostel

The common areas are nice, and the staff are super friendly. The rooms feel a bit cramped, especially the lower bunks, which don’t leave much room above your head. Bathrooms are clean, though the hot water can be unreliable. One shower depends on solar power, so it’s basically unavailable at night or on cloudy days, leaving a queue for the other bathroom. Still, it’s a good option for a short stay.

I spent the summer and autumn of 2024 here, and now that I’m back in my country, I still think about those days. The living room and balcony became favorite places to hang out, and I made friends I’m still in touch with. It felt like home. The owners, Antonis and Dimitra, are so kind and always smiling, and the volunteers are friendly too. The hostel is clean, affordable, and well located. Everything you need is provided, including big fridges, a powerful hair dryer, two rooms with hot showers, and clean pillows and mattresses. Papa Antonio, the supermarket, is somewhere you’ll get to know if you stay for a medium-length visit. I’d strongly recommend this place and hope to see everyone in the living room again when I return.

The Bob Marley room we booked was lovingly prepared and looked beautiful when we arrived. Our host welcomed us warmly, and the whole little hostel felt charming. The bathrooms are small, but they were cleaned often and had clear guidance to help everyone be considerate. The other guests were a mix of people, all friendly, polite, and respectful.

Such a cozy atmosphere, and the staff and volunteers were incredibly friendly. I’d gladly stay again. A small storage spot by the upper bunks would help, since phones and other things can fall down during the night.
