Seslikaya Hotel Lefkoşa

The room was small and very noisy at night and early in the morning. It had air conditioning, which was enough, but there was no hot water. When we arrived, he demanded twice the amount we’d agreed beforehand, probably assuming I had too much luggage to go elsewhere. I insisted on getting my money back and leaving, and then he said, “Okay, stay.” At checkout he asked again whether I’d sorted out the money. It’s a strange place. The other guests were probably Indian or something. We just about managed one night. I wouldn’t stay here.

I booked and paid through Hostel.com, then messaged the manager. He saw that I hadn’t received the money, but when we got there he said it hadn’t been transferred to my account and kicked us out at 4:00 a.m. I can’t forgive him, or the loss of my money.

I happened upon this place and was greeted by the kind owner. The rooms were very clean and simple, but had what I needed. It’s a pleasant place, and I’m glad I ended up there. Great location too. Highly recommend.

Everything is within walking distance from this handy central hotel. It’s not bad if all you need is a place to sleep.
