The Sendal Boutique Hotel

I booked the Standard Double for 2 nights, and the construction next door made the noise hard to bear. There’s a window right beside the head of the bed facing the work. They kindly moved me to the next room the following day, which was a Superior room a little farther from the construction, so the noise was slightly more bearable. From what I could see, the work might be finished by the end of 2025. There’s a metal clothes bar at forehead height, and I hit my head on its corner coming out of the bathroom at night. It’s dangerous and shouldn’t be there. It also restricts movement in an already very small room. They could focus less on high-tech lighting and more on practical storage. Travelers from other countries need at least one hotel contact number on WhatsApp. The hotel is rather expensive for what it offers.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the room had all the necessary amenities. Breakfast isn’t provided, but there are coffee and tea facilities, with plenty of cafés right outside. The dark walls and lighting may feel a bit heavy to some, and I’d welcome more sustainable options in place of the abundance of single-use products. It’s a beautifully renovated heritage building within the historic walls, a short walk from the convenient D'Avila Bastion parking area. The restoration keeps the exterior’s original architecture and charm while making the place comfortable.

The newly opened Sental Boutique Hotel was cozy and relaxing. Everything was impeccably clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The location was superb, and the decoration felt stylish and inviting. Highly recommend!

I was in town for a work conference and spent a couple of nights at the Sendal. The staff were especially helpful and polite, and my room was amazing and quiet. Bars, restaurants, museums, and everything else were within walking distance. Highly recommended!
