The Paphos House

The hotel is a good distance from the Old City, which helped keep it quiet and peaceful. Staff were friendly, polite and welcoming throughout, and the family-friendly feel was backed up by daily evening entertainment for all ages, including live music, dancing, fire shows and magic. Breakfast had no espresso, which seemed a surprising omission for a hotel in 2025. You can order a good coffee at the bar, but it costs an extra €4. I took off a star because of a serious problem at the on-site spa. A therapist injured my back, and I'm still recovering two months later. The spa also seemed unclean and poorly maintained, and the services felt significantly overpriced for what they delivered. Given the unprofessional conduct and the safety and hygiene concerns, I'd strongly advise future guests to avoid it.

This was our first visit to Paphos, Cyprus, and to the Avanti Hotel. As a family of four, we enjoyed our 10-night stay. I'm writing this on our last full night, and we'd definitely recommend the hotel and come back. The place was clean, tidy and well cared for, and the staff were amazing and very accommodating. Angela on Reception especially made sure our needs were met, and nothing felt like too much trouble. The pool areas were kept tidy, while the entertainment team stayed busy with activities such as morning stretches, French boules, water yoga and water polo. The evening shows could get a bit repetitive, but we still enjoyed them. The nearby restaurants were lovely, and the food there was fantastic.

The rooms were spacious, the beds really comfortable, and housekeeping serviced the rooms daily. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay at the Advanti. The pool area is large and has a swim-up bar. The hotel has won awards from both TUI and Jet2. It's about a 25-minute walk to Paphos seafront. You can go beside the main road or take the Promenade path. The 611 bus stops right outside the hotel, and there are restaurants and bars or pubs across the road. A taxi to the seafront costs €15 if you don't fancy the walk both ways.

Breakfast had a decent range and was fine. The hotel itself was nice enough, a solid three stars for quality. But our ground-floor room with a terrace flooded the second time we used the shower because the drain was completely blocked. It was a real mess. Two days later, we noticed the same problem in another room, where water had reached the corridor carpet and left it soaked.
