Kozis Hotel Apartments

The pool area was clean and cozy, with coffee and something sweet available, and it was peaceful while we were there because there weren’t many other guests. We had a family holiday and found the place good value, with plenty of flexibility. Cleaners came every day to tidy a bit and leave fresh towels and toiletries, which I really appreciated. We had a great stay and would recommend it for a family trip to Polis Chrysochou.

Everything turned out badly and didn’t feel worth the price or the rating. We called the hotel directly as Cypriots and were quoted less than the Booking price, so we were glad and sent the prepayment. But when we arrived, they asked us to pay much more than we would have through Booking. It felt like the prices were whatever they wanted. The room was cluttered with unnecessary furniture and wasn’t clean. We were afraid to sit in the chairs and didn’t touch the kitchen utensils. The air conditioner smelled so strongly of mold that sleeping without covering our heads was impossible. Breakfast was the hostess’s well known omelet, which everyone seems to like, but ours had a hair in it on the last day. From check in, the couple running the hotel kept saying how hard it was to manage and how much effort they put into keeping it in good condition. It made us feel sorry for them and reluctant to write a bad review. The hostess was also constantly friendly and smiling, which may explain the many good reviews. We’d seen those reviews before booking and hoped for the best, but this was our experience.

The owners were warm and hospitable, always ready to help, and we’re hoping to return next year. Kozis Apartments is spacious and clean, with good amenities and a superb location. It’s near the beach and town, and right across from a bakery, grill restaurant, and market. Great value for money, and I’d definitely recommend it.
