Natura Beach Hotel and Villas

The lovely garden setting and view were the only real positives for us, and there are plenty of places nearby with views like that. Our family came excited and left very disappointed. The stay was unpleasant, and cleanliness was almost absent across the hotel, including the kids swimming pool. Our room was a nightmare: ants everywhere, spiderwebs in every corner, and mould right beside our beds. The woman who served us for five days deserves credit for making the room a little more livable. We went to breakfast on the first day and never returned. There were coffee stains on mugs and unwashed plates. There was a variety of food, but it was very low quality, which made us question the awards the staff and manager talked about. The service and facilities didn’t match the hotel’s descriptions. Our stay cost less than other options nearby, but that doesn’t make poor service and facilities acceptable. We emailed our concerns and got no response. When we raised them during the stay, staff didn’t take us seriously or try to help. Instead, they spoke generically about the hotel’s awards and how many visitors choose it, and acted surprised by our concerns. We wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

This is a quiet, family run hotel, without rowdy entertainment, and that suited us very well. The other guests came from many different countries, and were friendly people there for a peaceful, relaxing holiday like us. We’d visit again without hesitation. Polis is a 15 minute walk away, and I’d recommend hiring a car to explore the beautiful surrounding area. One small warning: our teenage son was "egged" by locals in a car one evening when he was walking along the main road back from the local gym in the dark. It was unfortunate, though nothing to do with the hotel. We hired a three bed villa with a pool. It was huge, with four bathrooms and plenty of room for our big family. Staff cleaned the pool every day and the villa every three days, which was fine for us. Free pool towels were available at reception. The staff were friendly and helpful, and all spoke some English, most of them very well. When we reported a broken airer and blocked toilet, someone came quickly to sort them out. The WiFi was rubbish in the villa, but okay in the main hotel. The villa had lovely countryside views, and the main gardens and restaurant patio looked out to sea. Breakfast and dinner had a good selection. We even saw baby turtles hatching on the hotel beach one morning.

I arrived at Natura Beach Hotel late in the evening without a booking, looking for somewhere to stay, and was pleasantly surprised by the setting. There’s a big pool just outside, wide meadows of elephant grass with lots of places to lounge beneath palm trees, and the wild sea ahead. The beds were great and everything was clean, though the rooms and hotel have a 70s feel and you have to overlook that. The staff were especially friendly. I also had a massage and liked it very, very much.

The owners were arrogant and made no effort to meet my husband’s medical needs. He has coeliac disease and needs gluten free things like bread and beer. I emailed before our 16th-26th May 2025 stay asking them to buy these in advance, but they only got them two days before our holiday ended. That was unacceptable and very poor customer care. Rude. There’s a lot more I could say, but they ruined our holiday, and I felt dismissed and insignificant. The location itself was beautiful. The pool is only seconds from what feels like your own private beach, and the view from poolside is hard to fault. The beach is very pebbly, though, and the sudden drop as you enter the sea is unnerving. An elderly guest stumbled and cut his knees while trying to swim. Polis, the closest town, is a 20-25 minute walk away, with restaurants and a few shops, though not much to see. The locals there were lovely. We took taxis to Latchi, a lovely little harbour area that isn’t particularly big. It’s worth visiting, and Latchi water sports are based there. Their staff went above and beyond when we booked several activities and made the experience extra special. Restaurant food was tasty and good value, and the restaurant staff were welcoming and lovely.
