A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel "Evalena House" is located in Tochni. This hotel is located 1 km from the city center. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel — Amathus Beach, Dasoudi Beach and Limassol District Archaeological Museum.

The apartment was spacious, with a balcony furnished with a table and sunbeds, and the pool sits in a peaceful orchard. The old village is pretty, and the owner lives next door if you need help. It’s alongside a road, though there wasn’t much traffic. There’s air conditioning in the bedroom only. The kitchen is really just suited to breakfast and salads. There are two tavernas in the village, but check their opening hours beforehand. In 2017, we found one only open during tourist season, and Tochni Tavern didn’t seem to serve lunch, even in August, though it did offer an evening of traditional music. There’s one small supermarket in the village. You’ll need a car, and there are lots of facilities a short drive away. We found it good for couples.

Tochni village is beautiful and makes a great base for excursions. The pool is lovely, and the apartments are all different, with thoughtful design throughout. The resort is simple, clean, and charmingly authentic to Cyprus. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a holiday away from mass tourism.

We went three years ago, and it’s still remembered in our family as our most fun vacation. The people were very friendly, everything was clean, and the surroundings were lovely. Do rent a car.
