Emily House

The real fireplace was one of my favorite parts of winter there. On snowy, windy days, we could hear the wind in the chimney, add another log, and sit with a glass of wine watching the flames. The house sits in a beautiful mountain setting, with Plešivec visible from the windows and yard, and Boží Dar and Klinovec close by. We went to Karlovy Vary several times and also visited the Agricola aqua center in Jachimov. There are slopes nearby for different tastes. We came as two families in two cars and arrived at night by the upper mountain road. It felt unusual and a little scary, but that was part of the thrill we wanted. We saw a hare at night, another in daylight, and a family of fallow deer. GPS took us straight to the house. Inside, it felt like stepping into a fairytale: beautifully furnished and decorated for Christmas, with generous gifts waiting on the table after our journey. Thank you, Hana. We felt cared for throughout, while still having plenty of privacy. The place was clean and cozy, more like a home than temporary accommodation, and Hana had thought of so many little things, including toys for the children and even a small packet of baking soda for pancakes. The kids had a great time playing with the neighbors' children and building a slide from all the snow. We joined in and loved it. The dads were glad there were bars, restaurants, and shops nearby. It wasn't exactly cheap to travel from Russia to the edge of the Czech Republic and Germany, but it was the best Christmas I can remember. Time flew by. We're home now and already miss our fairytale mountain house.

The neighborhood is lovely and quiet, with nice people around. The cottage was comfortable and very well equipped, and we felt at home during our Christmas and New Year stay. Communication with the owner, Mrs. Nucova, was very good too. Thanks so much. We can only recommend it. A big one with a star.🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

We had a relaxing stay. The cottage has pleasant heat from either the boiler or the stove, and the wood was already prepared. The mattresses and duvets were good, the kitchen had what we needed, and the place was clean. It's an original cottage, renovated about 10 years ago. The organic meat on the square was good, and the buffet was great. The lamb was fabulous. A few things could use attention: fallen leaves in the living room, a poor broom, and stronger lamps, with extra reading lights by the table and in the bedrooms. A blower in the bathroom would help too. A Lepsinspalek for cutting wood chips would also be nice.

After a day skiing, this cottage has everything you need to relax in the evening. We had a perfect week there.
