Penzion Rose

The building is in a quiet area and doesn't get noisy, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and practical. The style is an odd blend of 80s and modern. Room 6 had a very unpleasant bathroom smell, maybe from a leaking siphon. There's no air conditioning; the fridge is in the communal kitchen, and there was even a pole dancing pole in the room. The manual entrance gate is extremely narrow and unusable because of the construction site opposite. Breakfast is served at Hotel Rose.

The rooms are standard, but on Sunday mornings the lawnmowers were disturbing. There was no grill, and we had to ask for access to the pool even though it's advertised. The person presented as the owner behaved very inappropriately, rather vulgarly.

The accommodation itself was great, but at over 2000 CZK I expected more, especially with no air conditioning and breakfast available only at the hotel. The beds were awful: two beds pushed together with a wooden strip between them. It was hot, and despite there being only us and one other family in the whole guesthouse, we were put under the roof where it was hard to breathe. There was confusion over the pool too. On arrival, the owner arranged access, then the unpleasant owner immediately took it away, saying the guesthouse pool should be enough for us. When I asked about storing the bikes, I was given a key for the garage around the corner, but it wouldn't open even when I tried with some force. Back at reception, the owner came out in a bad mood and said that was normal, though she hadn't told me the trick: push, turn, then pull.

For the price, the rooms were reasonably equipped. I did miss having a grill and a pergola, or at least a sunshade, by the pension pool, which would have brought the rating to three stars. But the whole stay was spoiled by the person presented as the owner, whose inappropriate and vulgar behavior in front of guests left us disgusted. The accommodation felt unpleasant because of it.
