The dorm rooms were clean and much nicer than I expected, and the students working at GProoms were fantastic. They were polite, helpful, there around the clock, and clearly dealing with the same runaround from management that we were. They deserve a raise or some kind of compensation for all the trouble. The parking situation, though, was a complete mess and is why I’m giving the stay two stars. We were told we could park in the blue marked street spots on Friday night, so we did. On Saturday morning there was a note on the car saying parking wasn’t allowed and we’d be towed. After the race, a rude woman told us we couldn’t park there because she ran a sporting event and needed spaces for their “international” participants. MotoGP is international too, but GProoms apparently gave in to the other organization, and we ended up parking very far away. My father n law can’t walk well or for long distances, so that was a major problem. We booked specifically because GProoms advertised on site parking, which turned out not to be true. The same issue came up again Sunday evening. We stayed until Monday morning. The cafeteria opened about 15 minutes late and had a limited food selection. We also needed internet to access maps and such, but MotoGP cut off our access sometime during the night, as if we didn’t need it on Monday. Total garbage. You can’t cut off people’s only way to communicate.
