The enclosed yard gives you privacy, and there’s plenty to do outside, with a pool, trampoline, ping pong, and places to sit on the terrace or under cover. There’s also a large common room. The beds creak terribly, and so do the wooden floors. The building needs better maintenance.

The place has potential, and the farm is nicely renovated. I can imagine it working well for a wedding reception and one night’s stay, but not for several nights, especially with children. We were the only guests for 5 days of our stay, and the exterior looked neglected: the grass was only partly cut, and there were lots of cobwebs, even inside the rooms. Maybe nobody had stayed there for a long time before us. They don’t actually serve breakfast, so the Bed 'n' breakfast label really doesn’t fit. I don’t know who gave the pension 4 stars, because that doesn’t match the experience at all. You have to bring your own towels, the kitchenette was rather poorly equipped, and the beds in the Green Room creaked terribly. The TV barely worked, though we weren’t there to watch TV, and the wifi only worked in the apartment. It’s a shame, because someone needs to look after the place better.

For a big group, around 20 people, this seems like a nice place for a weekend event. I can’t picture staying here as a couple for a week. There’s nowhere to unpack in the room, and I kept bumping into the sloping ceilings above the bed and toilet. The shower barely flowed.

The bathroom taps were a problem. The washbasin water barely flowed, and the shower only gave cold water through the rose, though its tap was fine. Could there be limescale inside?
