Pension Calla

The grass beach beside the pension has sunbeds and even a sandbox for kids. It's a lovely spot for a stay at lake Lipno, with great access to the water, though bigger towns with grocery stores are quite far away. The hosts are amazingly kind and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay :)

Pension Calla is at the edge of a small lakeside village, so it's a peaceful base for relaxing or doing water activities. For hikes or other ways to spend your free time, you'll need a car, bike, or boat. The building is a renovated older recreational place, with basic but very clean accommodation and spacious rooms with amazing lake views. Many rooms have a kitchenette with an induction hob, kettle, little fridge, and a very limited set of cooking utensils. The Booking.com room descriptions, including the floor information, are very accurate. The young owners are super caring and friendly, and their commitment to making guests comfortable is rare in Czech Republic accommodation. It's fairly priced, and we'd happily stay again. There are a few drawbacks. Because of the concrete panel construction, noise carries loudly from the hallway and other rooms, including footsteps, doors, and talking. Carpets in the hallways might reduce it at least a little. I don't like carpets in rooms, but they make sense in hallways. The bed was too soft and uneven, and the minibar-style fridge isn't suitable for food. To get it really cold, you have to turn it up, and then it's very loud.

A lovely place to get away from the city. It's quiet around here and the room has a beautiful view over the lake. The owner is a really helpful, positive person.

The surroundings are lovely, and the staff are really friendly. The room is quite large and has its own small balcony. You can sunbathe on their private beach too.
