Hotel Dvořák

It’s a beautiful hotel in a lovely city and area. The grand, old-world deco style stands out, and it’s friendly for dogs and people with mobility disabilities.

The underground parking in the middle of budejovice is the one thing that gets this two stars. We had two rooms, one meant for four beds and another for two. The four-bed room had been prepared for only three people, while the two-bed room was okay. Both rooms were dirty, especially the carpets, which seemed beyond saving. They badly need updating and feel stuck in 1998. With the rooms right under the roof and no air conditioning, it was 40°C inside when it was 36°C outside. Showering was awkward too, since there was no curtain and water got everywhere. I’d give it one star otherwise. We’ll look for somewhere else in budejovice next time. This doesn’t deserve four stars at all. Stay far away.

The staff were very friendly, and having a supermarket right outside was a big plus. You can walk everywhere from this ultra-central spot. The bedsheets were clean and there was wifi in the room, though the rooms look old, as if little has changed in at least 20 years, and could use some improvement. Underground parking costs extra and goes three levels down. It’s very tight, so be careful when looking for a spot.

The central location in CB is brilliant, and the room was clean and spacious. Still, it felt dated, with furniture from the 90's, and there was no kettle service. Breakfast was really basic, though the receptionist was friendly. I’ve stayed at a few Ceske Budejovice hotels on business and usually choose another one, which was full this time. I wouldn’t rate this as four stars, more like three. With more investment in room renovations, I think it could have potential.
