Penzion Relax Martina

We had a really unpleasant stay, and the owner's attitude made it worse. My wife, our daughter who was under two, and I stayed for two nights. A friend made our Booking.com reservation in two separate steps, so it ended up as two different rooms. That's our mistake, and we accept responsibility for it. Before we arrived, my friend tried to combine the bookings or arrange a room change, without success. Since we were staying for his wedding, I contacted Mr. Kafroň myself to ask if he could confirm we'd be able to switch rooms in one go. His response was rude and arrogant. He raised the possibility we'd have to check out at 10 a.m. and wait until 2 p.m. to check into the other room. I understand there were conditions to follow, but I had hoped for a more polite and friendly response. At our first check-in, Mr. Kafroň didn't return my greeting and tried to charge extra for our baby. He said the information on Booking.com "does not apply" and that he wanted more money. I had to point out that the booking terms said children under two stayed free, and argue that those terms were binding. After my friend called again, we were allowed to move rooms one after the other, as we'd originally asked. My friend also told me that after booking, the owner tried to bill him more and allegedly threatened to charge extra "because he knows my friends' card." The rest of our stay passed without further incidents, but the atmosphere was still unpleasant. I'm sorry to say our experience doesn't seem unusual. Complaints about the owner's attitude and behavior seem to be the most common ones.

If you're traveling with kids, don't stay here. The owner was horrible to deal with, seemingly interested only in getting money. He was impolite to my family and aggressive and arrogant with me and my babies, who are 3 and 1. On top of that, he's never available. One guest was left waiting outside for hours in the cold, wet weather to be seen. Worst experience ever!

We arrived a little after check-in time because of an accident on the road. The host immediately came out yelling that he'd already gone to sleep. Very rude, and he didn't speak English or show any kindness toward guests.

It was okay.
